Kaplan established its footprint in Singapore, its base for the Asia Pacific region, with the acquisitions of The Financial Training Company (now known as Kaplan Financial) in February 2003 and the Asia Pacific Management Institute (rebranded as Kaplan Higher Education) in May 2005 to capitalise on the growing demand for professional and postgraduate education in Asia.

The Kaplan City Campuses, the largest city campus for a private education institution in Singapore, are centrally-located in the Orchard Road and Dhoby Ghaut districts. The Kaplan City Campus @ Orchard is a spacious 60,000 square foot campus equipped with 32 classrooms, state-of-the-art facilities, student lounge, comprehensive library, and a full-service deli cum café.
The new Kaplan City Campus @ Wilkie Edge occupies 20,000 square feet of the entire 2nd level of the new Wilkie Edge building. Comprising a total of 19 classrooms, Wilkie Edge is located along Selegie Road, near the junction of Wilkie Road and Sophia Road. The site is within a 10-minute walk from the Dhoby Ghaut MRT station, the only MRT interchange in Singapore for the North-South and North-East MRT Line and the future Circle Line. The area is a major civic, arts and cultural centre of Singapore and has increasing concentration of educational institutions within the vicinity.
Additionally, registered under Kaplan Learning Institute is a WDA assessment unit at Kaplan City Campus @ Orchard and training premises at 10 Winsteadt Road, which has a total of 6 rooms and floor area of 3,939 square feet / 366 m2.
