Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences (AUAS) students are immersed in Amsterdam during their studies. AUAS students and lecturers work closely with countless industries, companies and organisations to come up with smart solutions to challenges facing the city. AUAS consists of seven faculties with a total of 45,797 students and offers 96 Bachelor's, Masters and Associate degree programmes. AUAS is one of the biggest employers in the field of higher education, and in Amsterdam, with some 4,077 staff members. AUAS, offer professional programmes in the applied arts and sciences that prepare students for specific careers. Practical work experience through internships and hands-on field projects are an important part of the study programmes. The AUAS has agreements with various housing corporations and does its utmost to help international students find furnished accommodation for a maximum period of one year.

Scholarship
International students at the Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences (AUAS) can apply for a number of scholarships. In order to attract talented international students, the Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences has introduced a performance-based scholarship system, the Amsterdam Talent Scholarship (ATS). The ATS is awarded at the end of every academic year to talented non-EEA students.
