Location & Facilities
The university consists of a 135-acre main campus and several off-campus centres throughout central and northern Ohio. Ashland is a city in the U.S. state of Ohio and the county seat of Ashland County. The population was 21,249 at the 2000 census. It is the center of the Ashland Micropolitan Statistical Area (as defined by the United States Census Bureau in 2003). It was incorporated in 1916.Ashland was designated a Tree City USA by the National Arbor Day Foundation. Ashland University's home, Ashland, Ohio, is listed as the eighth most affordable college town in the United States as ranked by Great Value Colleges website.
While studying at Ashland, you will be living within a day's drive of many of the great cities of the United State including: Boston, New York City, Washington D.C., Philadelphia, Chicago, Detroit, and Saint Louis. A day's drive can take you to Canada and to great natural attractions such as Niagara Falls, the Great Lakes, the Smokey Mountains, and the Atlantic Ocean.
Ashland University finished fifth in the nation in the final 2013-14 Learfield Sports Directors' Cup NCAA Division II all-sports standings, which are based on points awarded for each institution's finish in up to 14 sports -- seven men's and seven women's. A perennial powerhouse in Division II athletics, Ashland has finished in the nation's Top 10 for seven consecutive seasons and only two other schools can make that claim. In the last three years, the Eagles have placed third, fifth and fifth.
Ashland University was ranked in the top 200 colleges and universities in U.S. News and World Report's National Universities category in 2012 and 2013.
Ashland University's Campus Activities Board (CAB) has been recognized for the quality of the student entertainment it offers on campus as it has received the top Programming Organization of the Year award through the National Association for Campus Activities (NACA) Mid-America Regional Conference a total of 10 times, including the last three years in a row.

At Ashland's College of Business and Economics, you gain both practical skills and theory taught in classrooms where you'll receive lots of one-on-one attention. Morgan Center for Entrepreneurial Studies devoted to the encouragement of the entrepreneurial spirit and to fanning the fires of innovation that bring new business ideas to our community and world.
